Residents soon will be able to find the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor on city maps. The addition of the toll road was part of the changes the City Council recently approved to the city’s traffic and circulation maps. The council had postponed making changes to city maps in January to allow a traffic count on rural streets. City officials recently determined volume was high enough on portions of Bluebird Canyon, Glenneyre Street and Forest Avenue to petition the Orange County Transportation Authority for their inclusion in county maps as arterial highways. If the county decides to include the streets as highways on county maps, the city would be eligible to receive county funds for their maintenance.
