Animal Blessing Ceremony

Pet lovers and their animals can get special prayers Sunday at the Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science’s Annual Animal Blessing.

All types of animals are welcome. If pets cannot attend, owners can bring their photos for a blessing. This free service is part of the church’s Animal Kinship Ministry, which is dedicated to giving prayer support to “those who love us unconditionally and bring us much joy--our pets.”

Owners can call the ministry answering service and leave their pet’s name, type of animal and request for prayer.

The blessing ceremony begins at 5 p.m. in the parking lot. The church is at 7641 Talbert Ave. For information on the ceremony, call (714) 596-0900. The Animal Kinship Ministry is at Extension 273.
