ROLLER HOCKEY

The Bullfrogs have agreed to let season ticket holders attend the Roller Hockey International playoffs for free in order to settle a dispute that arose when the team cut regular-season prices by as much as a third in an attempt to stimulate sagging attendance.

More than 500 season ticket holders, about a quarter of the number the team had two seasons ago, will get free passes to their usual seats for all five playoff games, which will be Aug. 18, 19 and 22 at the Arrowhead Pond.

Two weeks ago the Bullfrogs lowered ticket prices to as little as $8 a seat and said they would no longer sell tickets to the top level of the arena. But season ticket holders balked, saying that they had paid hundreds of dollars more to have reserve seats that have since been discounted.
