Office Park Planned for South County
A development group said Wednesday that it has acquired 11 acres in the master-planned community of Rancho Santa Margarita and plans to build a $16-million office campus aimed at modestly sized businesses.
The Jameson Co. of Newport Beach and Investment Development Services Inc. of Costa Mesa have acquired the property from RSMJV, master developer of Rancho Santa Margarita, the companies said Wednesday.
With a network of toll roads recently opened or being built, the entire South County area is being transformed. In less than 12 years, the planned community has grown rapidly. Cox Communications recently opened a large office there.
The new office park, The Arbours, will consist of 14 single-story buildings totaling 125,000 square feet. The complex, on Santa Margarita Parkway at Avenida Empresa, is expected to open by fall.
IDS and Jeffrey Parker, Jameson’s president, will manage the development process, and IDS will market the project, the companies said.
