A 3-year-old girl fell out a second-story window Sunday afternoon, landing on the concrete below but suffering no serious injuries, a Fire Department spokesman said.

The accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. at her family’s apartment in the 8600 block of Wilbur Avenue near Napa Street, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“She appears to have crawled to a bed, made her way onto the top of a dresser and then tumbled through the open window,” Humphrey said.

After landing on the ground below, the girl remained conscious and was carried back into the house by her father, Humphrey said. From there, she was taken by a rescue ambulance to UCLA Medical Center.

Sunday evening, the girl was listed in fair condition, Humphrey said. Her only apparent injury was a cut on her forehead.
