Officials to Investigate Death of Woman in Trailer
Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 45-year-old woman, found early Saturday morning lying face down in the doorway of a mobile home, police said.
The woman was identified by coroner’s officials as Esther Vaughan of Arleta. She had “a small abrasion to the facial area” but no visible life-threatening injuries, said Sgt. O.C. Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
Police were called about 4 a.m. to the 9800 block of Beachy Avenue, where a friend of Vaughan directed them to the small trailer behind a private home.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death, police said.
