Barbecue to Benefit Veterans

Tenors to Perform at Library

* Vocalists Chris Feeney, Wade Joseph and Alan Frith-Smith will present “Three Tenors--A Musical Journey From Broadway to La Scala” at 2 p.m. today at the Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road. Brass Quintet Featured at CLU Chapel

* The Crown City Brass Quintet will present a benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Cal Lutheran University’s Samuelson Chapel, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. The ensemble is made up of Rob Frear and Marty Frear on trumpet, Nathan Campbell on horn, Andrew Malloy on trombone and Kenneth Kugler on bass and trombone. Women’s Club Plans Fashion Show, Lunch

* The Westlake Women’s Club will hold its annual luncheon, boutique and fashion show Tuesday at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 800 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village. Jazz Night to Raise Funds for Medical Clinic

* The Ventura County Medical Society Alliance will hold its sixth annual “Jazz Night at Hooper’s Hollow” from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday at 5985 Worth Way, Camarillo. The program will include performances by the Jazz Doctors and vocalist Sandy Patti. There will also be a gourmet buffet and silent auction. University Women to Host Luncheon

* The Ventura County Branch of the American Assn. of University Women will host a benefit luncheon at noon Saturday at the Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Road, Ventura. Dinner-Dance to Benefit Job Program

* The Ventura Youth Employment Service will hold its Equinox Ball, a benefit dinner-dance and silent auction, beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at The Derby Club, at Seaside Park off of Harbor Boulevard, Ventura. The employment service is a United Way agency that provides jobs and job training for clients age 13-25. Conejo Park District Schedules Hike

* The Outdoor Unit of the Conejo Recreation and Park District will hold its Sycamore to the Sea Hike on Saturday from 9 a.m. to about 3:30 p.m. at Borchard Community Center, 190 N. Reino Road, Newbury Park. The benefit 8 1/2-mile hike is mostly downhill and will include lunch at the beach and a shuttle back to the starting spot. $15. Registration required. Bands to Raise Funds for Ailing Musician

* Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band, the Pontiac Blues Band and the Estrada Brothers Latin Jazz Sextet will be among groups performing in a music festival to support the Ruben Estrada Benefit Fund, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 21 at the Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard. Ruben Estrada, a member of the Estrada jazz ensemble, is battling kidney disease. Funds raised will help cover medical expenses. $12.50-$20 general, $50 VIP seating. Information: 655-0025.
