‘Noah,’ Walk That Plank

Howard Rosenberg should have hit that floating dung heap harder! (“In ‘Ark,’ Noah Plays Friars Club,” April 30). Instead of dumping such a ridiculous mix on their public, NBC and the sponsors could have bagged and marketed it as fertilizer. Sunday night’s episode of “Noah’s Ark” left me gasping for drastic relief.

Awk! Not only are there a whole bunch of “begats” between Noah and Lot, but the nuking of Sodom comes after the flood, not before! This is like a production of “Hamlet” with acts from “Macbeth” thrown in to improve on the plot.

Once again, Hollywood has disgraced itself with a production of a biblical story. The writers, producers, actors and actresses who participated in the horrible depiction of Noah’s ark should be tried and convicted of blasphemy. If they wanted to tell a true story of Noah’s ark, they would have followed Genesis, Chapters 6 to 8. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah does not take place until several hundred years later in Genesis 13, 18 and 19.
