Foundation Will Offer Project Grants
The Ventura County Community Foundation is accepting applications for grants of up to $30,000 for projects designed to improve the quality of life for people of varied ages and backgrounds.
The 1999 Educating Our Community Initiative is looking for programs that promote collaboration among educational and cultural institutions, libraries, businesses and parents. The projects, which must serve Ventura County residents, should encourage creativity and utilize existing facilities and resources.
The yearlong grants, open to nonprofit agencies, will begin in September. Proposals must be received by 5 p.m. July 12. For an application or more information, call 988-0196.
