Woman Killed as Car Is Broadsided During U-Turn
A woman was killed Monday when the car she was riding in made a U-turn and was broadsided by another vehicle, a Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Judith Davis, 58, suffered massive internal injuries from the accident that took place about 3:30 p.m. at McBean Parkway and Arroyo Park Drive, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Daniel Castillo.
Davis was pronounced dead at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia a short time after the crash. Her husband, James Davis, who was driving, suffered minor injuries, Castillo said.
The driver of the other car, a 17-year-old Valencia girl, also suffered minor injuries. The accident was under investigation.
