On a unanimous vote, the Huntington Beach City School District Board of Trustees approved a proposal by the superintendent to implement a pre-kindergarten program at William Kettler and Agnes Smith elementary schools starting Jan. 31.
The curriculum is designed to advance the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of young children. The program will be conducted at no extra cost to the district’s General Fund because it is expected that state earnings from attendance will be enough to cover all costs associated with the program.
