Channel League finals--Senior Josh Spiker of Ventura didn’t run because of a sore knee, but the Cougars defeated Buena, 35-37, at Camino Real Park in Ventura.

Senior Cathy Dunne led Buena to a 1-2 finish in the girls’ race, but Ventura swept the next six places to defeat the Bulldogs, 25-40.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Montana 1, Cal State Northridge 0--Heather Olson scored for the Grizzlies (11-5-1) in the 48th minute of the Big Sky Conference tournament semifinal game at Montana.

Northridge finished 10-8-1.

GIRLS’ TENNIS

Foothill League tournament--Dragana Ognenovska of Burroughs defeated Olga Yepremian of Burbank, 6-2, 6-7 (7-5), 7-6 (7-3) to win the Foothill League singles title at Cal State Northridge.

Heidi Gragg and Jamie Ladd of Hart won the doubles title, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7), over Michelle Hildreth and Melissa Hooven of Burroughs.
