A Garden Grove man standing outside his house was injured in a drive-by shooting on the 12900 block of Trask Avenue on Saturday night, an attack police believe was gang-related.

The wounded man, whose name was not available, suffered a minor grazing wound to his hand and was treated at the scene, police said.

The assailants fired seven bullets at the home during the attack. Young children were inside at the time, including a 5-year-old, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Dave Kivler said.

The assailants drove by the home about 9 p.m., yelled a gang-related slogan, then fired seven rounds from a small-caliber handgun. They then sped away, Sgt. Paul McInerny said.

Police roped off the block on Trask where the shooting occurred. Police did not release descriptions of the attackers or the car they used.

Kivler said Saturday’s shooting may be linked to a gang-related shooting several weeks ago on the 13000 block of Stevens Lane.
