Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa will read his works Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd. Komunyakaa’s book “Neon Vernacular: New and Selected Poems 1977-1989” won the 1994 Pulitzer Prize for poetry. Sponsored by the Skirball and the Los Angeles Poetry Festival. $2-$6. The musical group Spyder Blue takes the stage tonight at Exile Books and Music, 14925 Magnolia Blvd., Sherman Oaks. Saturday’s show will feature singer-songwriters Jennifer Hardaway, Sean O’Malley and Andrew Lorand. 8 p.m. show time and $5 cover both nights. O’Malley will return Sunday as a musical guest at a reading for the poetry anthology “51%” at 3 p.m. No cover.
