LA PALMA
The California School Boards Assn. will present its Golden Bell Award to Los Coyotes Elementary School on Dec. 11 at the San Francisco Marriott Hotel. Los Coyotes will receive the award in recognition of its Character Program. Each month a character attribute, such as responsibility, respect or cooperation, is emphasized in the school.
Teachers, school staff and parents get involved by giving examples of that month’s character trait in classrooms and at home.
Children who best exemplify the trait are selected as Kids of Character during monthly school assemblies.
