Police Sergeant Chris Nunez will deliver some important equipment this week at several area schools.
As part of the Safeguard Our Schools Program (SOS) implemented by Gov. Gray Davis, AirTouch Cellular is donating 10,000 Audiovox wireless telephones to schools in the carrier’s service areas.
Buena Park High School has received 10 telephones, or emergency communications devices, and Gilbert West High School and Hope School will be receiving five telephones each.
The telephones are intended for staff use in an emergency situation only.
