THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG
The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Thursday:
BREA
* Birch Street at Brea Boulevard: An attempted burglary was reported at 6:47 a.m. Wednesday.
* South State College Boulevard: A grand theft was reported in the 100 block at 2:13 p.m. Wednesday.
* East Imperial Highway: A forgery was reported in the 2600 block at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday.
* North Site Drive: A burglary was reported in the 1000 block at 9:14 p.m. Wednesday.
FOUNTAIN VALLEY
* La Terraza Avenue: A man’s briefcase was stolen when he left it unattended on a sidewalk at the intersection of Los Jardines with his duffel bag and boots at 9:14 a.m. Saturday.
GARDEN GROVE
* Katella Avenue: A robbery was reported in the 9000 block at 12:15 a.m. Friday. Two males attempted to walk out of an Albertsons Market with two cases of beer and a bottle of vodka without paying when employees tried to stop them and a fight ensued. A third male approached the scene, yelled to the store employees to let his friends go, pulled out a handgun and fired one shot at an employee through the glass door. No one was hit, but the thieves and shooter were able to flee.
HUNTINGTON BEACH
* Bushard Street: A purse containing $345 was stolen from the floorboard of a car parked in the 17800 block at 3:06 p.m. Saturday.
LAKE FOREST
* Midcrest: Property in the 21500 block was reported stolen from a residence at 1:20 p.m. Monday. There are no suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
* Rockfield Boulevard and Eaglemont Avenue: A driver was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 3:55 a.m. Saturday.
* Toledo Way: Someone was arrested for trespassing in the 25000 block at El Toro High School at 11:15 a.m. Monday after being told to leave.
PLACENTIA
* East Imperial Highway: Malicious mischief was reported in the 1000 block at 12:54 p.m. Wednesday.
* East Orangethorpe Avenue: An apparently drunk driver was reported in the 1600 block at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
* Fordham Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 500 block at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday.
TUSTIN
* Newport Avenue at El Camino Real: Report of a car accident at 11:25 a.m. Monday. There were no injuries.
* McFadden Avenue: A car burglary was reported in the 16000 block at 12:38 p.m. Monday.
* West Main Street: A suspicious person was reported in the 200 block at 3:43 p.m. Monday.
YORBA LINDA
* Briarhill Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 4600 block at 4:38 p.m. Wednesday.
* Yorba Linda Boulevard: Threats were reported in the 20000 block at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

ANAHEIM HILLS
* East Santa Ana Canyon Road: A vehicle was repossessed in the 9000 block at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday.
* North Imperial Highway at East La Palma Avenue: A traffic misdemeanor was reported at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Thursday: Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, La Habra, Lake Forest, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, Placentia, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Tustin, Villa Park, Westminster and Yorba Linda.
