Fontana A.B. Miller 31, Santa Margarita 0--On the second play from scrimmage, A.B. Miller quarterback Sean Lanzarotto faked a handoff and broke through the middle a 74-yard touchdown 5:03 into the game.
A.B. Miller hit the end zone again, leading 14-0, after Lanzarotto kept the ball on the option and went 38 yards down the sideline for a touchdown.
The Eagles could not force their way past the Rebel 44-yard line in the first half. A.B. Miller defensive tackle Andrew Solano complicated the Eagles’ plans on offense, sacking quarterback Matt Dlugolecki twice. Lanzarotto broke the school record held by Jeff McGarity, finishing the 230 yards in 22 carries.
Wilson caught two passes for 83 yards. Dlugolecki completed eight of 12 passes for 139 yards.
Santa Margarita fumbled four times all of which the Rebels recovered.
