Concert to Aid Leukemia Patient * Alicia Juarez will give a benefit concert tonight from 6 to 8 at the Oxnard High School Performing Arts Theater, 3400 W. Gonzales Road. The concert, which includes performances by El Dueto Ron y Tequila, Grupo Folklorico Tepeyac, the Oxnard High School Choir, VCSD Mariachi Class and Bernabe Vega, will benefit Ulises Magana, 9, a leukemia patient who is preparing for a bone marrow transplant. Four Notable Homes Open for Tour

* The third annual Ojai Home Look In will feature four homes of historic interest and notable architecture today from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour, sponsored by the Ojai Festival Women’s Committee, benefits the 54th annual Ojai Music Festival in June. Tickets will be available for $25 during the tour weekend at the Ojai Chamber of Commerce, 150 W. Ojai Ave., or the festival office, 201 S. Signal St. Information: 646-2094.

Run to Raise Funds for Native Plant Group

* The Channel Islands chapter of the Native Plant Society will benefit from the sixth annual Salmon Run today at 8:30 a.m. in the Patagonia parking lot, 258 W. Santa Clara St., Ventura. Registration for the 5K run or the 3K walk is at 7:30. Admission for adults is $20, free for children. Registration includes a T-shirt, runner’s bag and a drawing ticket. Make checks payable to Great Pacific Iron Works. Patagonia gear awarded for first, second and third places. After the event, the society will hold its annual fall native plant sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Information: 643-6074.

Bricks Will Give Donors a Piece of School

* University Elementary School will hold its fund-raising event, “Pathway to the 21st Century,” Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the school, 2801 Atlas Ave., Thousand Oaks. The Computer Learning Center fund-raising committee will sell bricks to the public for $50 each. The bricks will be used to build a path and will be engraved with a name, dedication or saying of the donor’s choice. Donations can also be sent to the school in care of: University Elementary PTA. High School Offers a Night of Bingo

* Westlake High School is sponsoring bingo night Wednesday at 7:15 in the high school cafeteria, 100 N. Lakeview Canyon Road. Each of the 25 games will pay out $250. The minimum cost to play is $8; the cost to play in every game is $21. Early bird games will start at 6:30 p.m. There will also be door prizes. Proceeds will benefit academic and co-curricular activities. Information: 241-4407.

Guides Needed for Annual Tour

* Docents are needed for the Wellness Community’s eighth annual Home Wellness Tour, which will feature five homes in the Conejo Valley. The tour will take place Dec. 4 and 5. Docents will work three-hour shifts acting as tour guides for nearly 3,000 visitors. The Wellness Community is a nonprofit organization that provides free support groups and other services to cancer patients and their families. Information or to volunteer: 379-4777.

Women’s Network Hosts ‘MIXer and Match’

* The Ventura County’s Professional Women’s Network will hold a MIXer and Match on Dec. 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 1802 Eastman Ave., Suite 203, Ventura. The event is for donating business clothes to help women dress successfully for professional interviews. They will also share information about the group and about professional opportunities. Gift-Quality Books Available at Library Sale

* The San Buenaventura Friends of the Library will sponsor a mini used-book sale Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the Wright Library, 57 Day Road, Ventura. Annual Boutique to Assist Dudley House

* San Buenaventura Heritage Inc. is holding its annual Victorian holiday boutique, Nov. 26 through Dec. 5 at the historic Dudley House at Ashwood Avenue and Loma Vista Road in Ventura. The boutique will be open daily from noon to 8 p.m. There will also be a tea and silent auction. Free admission to the boutique. Proceeds will benefit restoration of the house. Used-Book Sales to Benefit Libraries

* The Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library sponsors daily used-book sales at the Newbury Park branch, 2331 Borchard Road, and the Grant R. Brimhall Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. Almost $23,000 was raised last year. The proceeds provide books, programs and other materials for both libraries. Information: 495-4796.
