Freshman quarterback Michael Vick ran for a season-high 134 yards and two touchdowns and passed for two touchdowns as No. 2-ranked Virginia Tech defeated Temple, 62-7, Saturday at Philadelphia.

The victory clinched at least a share of the Big East championship for Virginia Tech, 10-0 overall and 6-0 in conference, and bolstered its bid for a berth in the national championship game in the Sugar Bowl.

Virginia Tech, which plays No. 25 Boston College Friday, also avenged a 28-24 loss to Temple (2-8, 2-4) last year in Blacksburg, Va., when the Owls were 35-point underdogs.
