Hook, Jab and Scrub: I’m learning how to box. My boxing coaches are Chad Stahelski and David Leitch. Chad trained Keanu Reeves for “The Matrix,” and the other guy trained Brad Pitt for “Fight Club.” So on Saturday morning I box in my garage. I also love to put on my oldest pair of work boots and clean my garage. There is nothing more satisfying. Also, if I get to go the hardware store, I’m a happy man.

Draw or Stud: I love to play poker--especially with people who don’t really know how to play, so I can win. There’s a group I’ve been playing with for years. I like any game with “guts” at the end of the name--that’s where you triple the bet.

Hanging in His ‘Hood: On a beautiful day, it’s great to go to the beach. I’m kind of a Venice fixture these days. Some of the best coffeehouses in the world are here. There’s lots of ideas here, just flying around, and people talk about real stuff, not just what film they have in development. Artists to students to movie stars to street people--it’s a wonderful eclectic mix, a great community. There’s also nothing better than a walk late at night on the beach because nobody is there. In the winter, it’s really quiet and mellow, cool. And the best, most spiritual thing you can do is go to the drum circle on Venice Beach. It’s one of the best-kept secrets in L.A. They get 100 percussionists out there. I don’t drum--I just go for the vibe.

Go Gettying: I love the new Getty Center. Visiting that place has made me really proud to be an Angeleno. It’s a testament to what Los Angeles can do when we put our minds to something.

No Vroom: Wherever I go around L.A. on the weekends, I drive my electric car. I have a Toyota Prius, a hybrid vehicle that goes 700 miles per tank. I also have a Rav-4 electric vehicle.
