USC’s starting five earned its Thanksgiving day off.
All five--David Bluthenthal, Brandon Granville, Sam Clancy, Brian Scalabrine and Jeff Trepagnier--had no vacation during this week’s Maui Invitational, playing a combined 547 minutes (out of 600) in the Trojans’ three games.
Granville and Trepagnier were the iron men, averaging 39 minutes a game. Clancy averaged 37 minutes while battling a 102-degree temperature. Jarvis Turner played 12 minutes against North Carolina, but sat out the rest of the tournament because of an injury to his left injury. He will undergo an MRI exam on Monday.
