Ice Dogs Beat League’s Top Goalie

Dmitri Leonov scored 12 minutes, 3 seconds into the third period as the Long Beach Ice Dogs defeated the Houston Aeros, 2-1, before 4,354 at the Long Beach Arena on Saturday night.
Scoreless after one, Lane Lambert got Houston on the board first at 5:53 of the second period. Scott Thomas scored a power-play goal 2:06 later against Frederic Chabot, the IHL’s leading goaltender, to tie it up.
Jaroslav Modry and Jan Nemecek assisted on Leonov’s game-winner.
