West Hills Man Identified as Crash Victim
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office on Sunday released the identity of a 26-year-old man who was killed Saturday when the car he was riding in collided with a power pole in Chatsworth.
Sean Lee Turpin of West Hills was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place about 10 a.m. at Topanga Canyon Boulevard near Lassen Street, authorities said.
The driver, Joseph Romagnano, 28, of Thousand Oaks has been arrested on suspicion of felony manslaughter in connection with the crash.
Police say Romagnano was under the influence of an unknown drug when his car hit a divider at 65 mph, spun around, knocked down a sign at a bus stop and hit the power pole in front of a gas station.
