In Freeway League girls’ tennis:

No. 8 Troy 11, No. 9 Sunny Hills 7--Lori Judd and Stacey Lee swept in doubles, 6-0, 6-1, 6-2, for Troy (5-1, 1-0).

In the Pacific Coast League:

No. 6 Corona del Mar 14, No. 7 Laguna Beach 4--Nadia Vaughan swept in singles, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1 for Corona del Mar (4-4, 1-0).

In Orange League boys’ cross-country:

Valencia 15, Anaheim 49--Valencia, ranked second in Division II, had all five runners finish under 17 minutes, led by winner Rafael Valdez (16:20).

In the Sunset League:

No. 8 Esperanza 29, No. 6 Edison 28--Ryan Bousquet took first in 14:59 at Yorba Regional Park for the Aztecs (1-1, 1-1) to break the dual-meet record (15:01) he set against Marina on Sept. 22.

In Century League girls’ cross-country:

No. 8 El Modena 22, Villa Park 39--Christine Eckstaedt won in 19:12 over three miles at Irvine Park for El Modena (1-0 in league).

In the Pacific Coast League:

No. 1 Corona del Mar 18, Estancia 45--Liz Morse finished first in 19:39 over three miles for Corona del Mar (1-0 in league) at Estancia. Liz Huipe finished third (20:11) for the Eagles (0-1).

In the Serra League:

No. 3 Santa Margarita 17, Lakewood St. Joseph 41--Lori Mann finished first in 19:08 for Santa Margarita (4-0, 1-0) on La Mirada Park’s three-mile course.

In nonleague girls’ volleyball:

Dana Hills 3, No. 6 Huntington Beach 1--April Nick had 14 kills for Dana Hills (2-4), which won, 5-15, 15-7, 15-13, 15-11.

No. 4 Santa Margarita 3, No. 10 Laguna Beach 2--Monique Gerlach had 18 kills and seven aces for the visiting Eagles (4-1), who won, 15-7, 11-15, 15-12, 8-15, 15-2.
