As if new moms don’t feel bad enough, supermodel Cindy Crawford is now trying to market herself as the uber-mom. She has agreed to be an advisor and spokesmom for https://www.babystyle.com, an E-commerce site that sells products for moms and babies from TSE Cashmere, Petit Bateau, Thea Segal, DKNY and other brands.

The site’s launch party is scheduled for Wednesday at Eurochow restaurant in Westwood.

Crawford’s features on babystyle.com will include “Ask Cindy,” a forum for women to ask her specific questions; “Cindy’s Style Tips,” for expectant and new mothers; and “Cindy Recommends,” in which Crawford will advise new moms on how to become rich supermodels, or perhaps she’ll share favorite products.

Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend: Are Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck “on” again? Last week, Affleck laid a pair of Harry Winston diamond stud earrings on the Oscar-winning actress.

The limited-edition earrings are the first to be issued with Harry Winston’s commemorative Millennium hallmark, a pyramid of M’s. The jeweler is inscribing each piece sold from now until the end of December 2000 with the symbol.

No-Show: L.A. stylist to the stars Philip Bloch was a no-show at the CaliforniaMart Designer of the Year Awards at Sky Bar on Sunday night. Bloch, who was scheduled to host the event, was ill, according to his agency, Cloutier. Bloch could not be reached for comment or get-well wishes.

Boxer Shorts: Studios are famous for devising clever toys to send to the media to promote new films. Last year’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream” press kit came with a plush pair of donkey ears. And who could forget the “Donnie Brasco” talking Kleenex box that said, “forgetaboutit,” or the famous “Fargo” murder-scene snow globe?

Well, the press kit for “Fight Club,” the new Brad Pitt-Edward Norton violence vehicle opening Friday, comes with a fall fashion catalog. Pitt’s retro leather jacket is offered for $725, and his seersucker suit is a steal at $425.

However, there’s no clothing to sell. It’s a joke, says a spokesperson for 20th Century Fox.

Guess we’ll have to see the movie to figure it out. That’s the point, right?

Online: Teams of models and excited men lined up for a party hosted by beauty Web site gloss.com and Elite Models last week at L.A.’s Park Plaza Hotel. The bash was as crowded, hot and sweaty as a high school dance. Even with KCRW-FM’s Nic Harcourt and Jason Bentley spinning tunes, guests got cranky. Hors d’oeuvres were few and far between, and many of the bartenders seemed to be mixing their first martinis.

Mark Wahlberg, Taye Diggs, Lisa Nicole Carson, Hugh Hefner and Kiss’ Gene Simmons were all in attendance, and Tori Spelling was spotted with a laptop computer ordering products off the site from Philosophy and Smell This.

How Bonnie Got Her Berets: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will host a four-week seminar beginning Oct. 20 that examines movie costume design. Costume designer Deborah Nadoolman Landis (“Coming to America”) will lead each session, and guests will include Theadora Van Runkle (“Bonnie and Clyde”), Jeffrey Kurland (“Bullets Over Broadway”), Mark Bridges (“Boogie Nights”) and others. Admission is $80 for the public and $60 for Academy members. Call (310) 247-3000, Ext. 111, for details.

Hemlines: Perhaps Yves Saint Laurent was banking on “Phantom Menace” fever hanging around a little longer. The company’s 1999 holiday cosmetics collection, “One Love,” is inspired by the film’s Queen Amidala. The eight-piece collection hits stores in November. . . . “The Young and the Restless” actress Lauralee Bell has opened a clothing store named On Beverly Blvd. across the street from the Beverly Center.
