Antelope Valley 47, Bishop Montgomery 22--Demetre Booker rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another, and Germaine Norman returned two kickoffs for scores as the Antelopes ended an eight-game losing streak at Antelope Valley.
Booker, who scored on runs of 11 and 27 yards in the third quarter, concluded the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run with 3:18 to play. The junior quarterback gave the Antelopes (1-4) a 14-8 lead when he teamed with Greg Prator on a 25-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. Booker rushed for 126 yards in 15 carries.
Antelope Valley jumped to a 27-22 halftime lead after Norman returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. As with the first scoring kickoff return, which also covered 95 yards, Norman took a reverse handoff from Jonathan Molock and sprinted down the field untouched.
Bishop Montgomery (2-3) took a 22-21 lead with 11 seconds left in the first half on Stanley Wilson’s one-yard touchdown plunge.
