Nordhoff 34, Bishop Diego 20--Jessie Hawkins rushed 18 times for 140 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Rangers (2-3) at Santa Barbara City College.

Hawkins scored on a nine-yard run in the first quarter to tie the score, 7-7. He added a one-yard touchdown run to complete a 21-point second quarter for Nordhoff.

John Hill passed for 96 yards and ran for a nine-yard touchdown for the Rangers. Scott Drew kicked field goals of 41 and 23 yards.

Bishop Diego fell to 2-3.

Brentwood 56, Campbell Hall 7--The Vikings (2-3) scored on their first possession but were shut out the rest of the way, finishing with 93 total yards, at Birmingham High.

Derrick Williams scored on a 14-yard pass from Matt Kaplan to tie the score, 7-7, for Campbell Hall in the first quarter. But Brentwood (3-1) scored 35 points in the second quarter to take a 42-7 halftime lead.

Steve Young scored four touchdowns on receptions of 41 and 27 yards and on punt returns of 63 and 47 yards.
