Temple City 28, La Canada 8--Receiver Jonathan Hu caught five passes for 122 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown at La Canada.
The Rams (3-3, 1-0) shut out the Spartans in the second half, scoring the game’s final 21 points.
David Rosales scored the only touchdown for La Canada (2-4, 0-1) with 5:15 left in the second quarter on a two-yard run for an 8-7 lead. He finished with 75 yards in 16 carries.
Temple City outgained the Spartans, 327 yards to 246. Kevin Brown rushed for 99 yards in 16 carries and Adam Szamet ran for 76 yards in 15 carries. Brown scored two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Szamet scored on a four-yard run in the third quarter for the game’s final points.
La Canada quarterback Eric Young completed his first five passes, but finished seven of 17 for 75 yards with two interceptions.
