Hurting Jets Lose Lucas Too
New York Jet quarterback Ray Lucas will miss between three and four weeks because of a sprained left ankle.
Rick Mirer will return as starter Sunday in Oakland, with punter Tom Tupa the only other quarterback on the Jet roster.

Miami quarterback Dan Marino received a painkilling injection after an examination showed a small bone spur that probably was causing muscle spasms around his right shoulder. The Dolphins will keep Marino out of practice until Thursday and they don’t plan to start him unless he is 100%. Brock Huard will start if Marino can’t play. . . . San Diego Charger strong safety Rodney Harrison will probably miss Sunday’s game against Green Bay because of a deep bruise in his left shoulder.
