Amanda Oleson of Agoura High has made a commitment to play softball at Washington.
Oleson, a pitcher and shortstop who is expected to be an outfielder in college, chose the Huskies over Ohio State and Penn State.
Letters of intent can be signed next month.
Washington finished runner-up to UCLA in the Women’s College World Series in May.
Oleson, who was dismissed from the Agoura team last season for undisclosed seasons, has played with the Southern California Stealth 18-and-under team the last two years.
She is expected to play for the Chargers this season.
* Erin Voeltz of Westlake made a commitment to George Tech.
Voeltz, a Times’ All-Ventura County selection who struck out 257 in 168 1/3 innings last season, also made recruiting trips to Hawaii and Kentucky.

Brown, The Times’ All-Valley kicker at Highland in 1997, was in attendance eight days earlier when Jose Duarte kicked a 52-yard field goal to break Brown’s Bulldog record of 51 yards.
* Receiver Chad Heydorff of Glendale College and quarterback Eric Holtfreter of Valley were among five players selected offensive players of the week by the Western State Conference.
Linebacker Sean Cogswell of Canyons was among three defensive selections.
