OUTLOOK

McMillen is high on the team, although he admits the Lions are plagued by the same old problem--no depth. Still, with Coburn at the controls, Westminster shouldn’t be overlooked. “They’ll battle us for the league title,” Tustin Coach Myron Miller said. Iverson and Laurel were 1998 all-league second-team choices, as was 350-pound Letuli, who is a presence on the line. Jenkins figures to be the target Coburn looks for, but Simon presents another good target at tight end. The speedy receiver corps of Hollins, Williams, Martinez and Duong had a good summer passing league season. To free up Coburn, Laurel, Maldonado, Milane and Kiklas have to carry their load.
