OUTLOOK
Aliso Niguel moves up in division after winning a section championship in 1996 and the Pacific Coast League title last year. Hefty and Gerasimou, first-team all-league performers, anchor strong defensive line and linebacking corps. The secondary, filled with unproven juniors, is a mystery, but this junior class went 10-0 as freshmen. The offensive line is sound and Nikzad and Sutton are solid runners. Bernard played receiver and defensive back while at Laguna Hills but sat out last season after his transfer; he’s a terrific athlete but has never taken a snap under fire.
