Just What We Needed: Rich Guys in Limos
Thanks so much for the ad featuring Vince Carter [Aug. 23, Page D12]. Now while I watch “SportsCenter” from the living room of my modest apartment, I can revel in the fact that my sports heroes are also watching, albeit in the luxury of a limo.
C’mon, these athletes are barely tolerable in uniform. Do I really need to see them in their off time? This ad helps me feel even more detached from them than I already do. Please stick to showing them in action athletically, not the opulence afforded to them because of said athletic ability. This way, I can hang onto what little joy I get out of the sports world, if only for a little while longer.
