Roberto Alomar reminded the Baltimore Orioles and their fans what they’re missing.

Alomar marked his return to Baltimore in spectacular fashion Friday night, hitting his career-high 23rd homer and driving in five runs to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 7-6 victory over the Orioles.

Manny Ramirez hit his 37th home run for the Indians, who won their fifth in a row and improved to 7-0 against Baltimore this season.

Alomar hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning, an RBI single in the fifth and a three-run homer in the seventh to bring the Indians back from a 6-4 deficit. His previous career high in homers was 22, with the Orioles in 1996.

Alomar, who played three seasons with the Orioles before signing as a free agent with the Indians, was booed lustily in his first at-bat. But he silenced the crowd at Camden Yards with one of his most productive games of the season.

“I think it’s always special to come back to the place where you played for three years,” he said. “I have some good memories of playing in this ballpark. It’s nice to come back. It’s a special day and I had a good day at the plate.”

The five RBIs matched a season high and was one short of his career best, set in 1997.

Seattle 2, Boston 1--Jamie Moyer pitched a three-hitter and one of the new American League umpires ejected three Red Sox at Seattle.

Dan Wilson singled home the winning run against Derek Lowe (5-3) with one out in the ninth inning.

Red Sox Manager Jimy Williams and first-base coach David Jauss were ejected in the eighth along with Damon Buford by Brian O’Nora, working his second game as a full-time member of the American League staff.

Moyer (13-6) won his third consecutive decision, striking out five and walking one.

Toronto 5, Kansas City 4--Shawn Green hit a two-run homer and Brad Rigby walked in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning at Kansas City.

Rigby relieved with two on and one out in the eighth and the score tied at 2-2.

A single and a force play at home kept the bases loaded with two out before Rigby walked Shannon Stewart on four pitches.

Texas 10, Chicago 4--Lee Stevens hit a tiebreaking homer and had three RBIs at Arlington, Texas.

Stevens, who was three for four, extended a career high with his 22nd homer to break a 4-4 tie as the Rangers handed the White Sox their fifth consecutive loss.

Tampa Bay 4, Minnesota 2--Jose Guillen hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the eighth inning at St. Petersburg, Fla.

Guillen’s soft line drive to center field scored pinch-hitter Bubba Trammell, who drew a one-out walk from Eddie Guardado (2-4) and went to second on a wild pitch by Bob Wells.
