L.A. Washington (0-0)
vs. No. 6 Los Alamitos (0-0)
7 TONIGHT LONG BEACH VETERANS STADIUM
Los Alamitos Coach John Barnes says he wants to try some new things on offense this season, and his team’s opening opponent appears perfectly suited for that purpose. Washington is coming off a year of turmoil. Last year, the entire coaching staff was replaced at midseason. The Generals went 0-9, including a 59-6 loss to Los Alamitos in their season opener. The Griffins held Washington to 113 yards of offense. Los Alamitos has replaced its entire starting offense. Look for the Griffins to run more than they have in the past, with Damon Johnson getting the bulk of the carries.
