Coach Larry Miller of Hueneme didn’t mince words after the Vikings’ 65-30 loss to Alemany on Friday.
“We ran into a buzz saw,” Miller said. “You never want to get beat like that, but it happens sometimes.”
Hueneme trailed, 28-0, in the second quarter, and 48-14 at halftime, but Miller considered the loss a learning experience.
“We’ve got something to build on,” he said. “You always want to play against teams like that because they give you a good indication of where you’re at.”
