The end of summer means the return of Disneyland discount-ticket promotions: one for frequent shoppers at Lucky and Sav-on stores and another for annual pass holders, who can buy extra admissions for $29 each under a “bring a friend” promotion.

Through Oct. 29, holders of annual passes can buy up to four tickets a day at the discount, $10 off the regular adult price. They must accompany their guests through the turnstiles and the tickets must be used on the day sold. Annual passes cost $99, $129 or $199--lower-priced ones don’t include free parking and there are 30 or 60 days a year when they can’t be used.

Through Oct. 15, Lucky markets and Sav-On drugstores will give holders of loyalty cards a $5-off certificate for Disneyland admission for every $100 they spend (purchases of alcohol, milk, tobacco and some other products excluded). Walt Disney Co. spokesman Lynn Holt said more than one certificate may be used at the same time to reduce the admission price.

Farther-flung promotions include a Walt Disney Travel Co. deal with Alaska Airlines: Kids fly free and participants get four nights in a Disney hotel and five days’ admission to Disneyland for the price of three days.

And Disneyland annual pass holders are being offered discounts on Disney Cruise Line voyages out of Florida.

With all the construction in Anaheim and no major new attractions this year, Disneyland attendance has slipped, the company has said. However, Holt said the Anaheim park is doing no more discounting than in the past. The resident salute, which lets Southern Californians into the park for $29, is expected to be offered from January or February through mid-May, he said.
