VILLA PARK
The VP2K New Year’s Eve Party Committee will meet tonight at 7:30 to discuss plans for the city’s celebrations. About 30% of the $100 tickets have been sold, Mayor Pro Tem Robert McGowan said.
Volunteers are still needed to operate casino tables, which will be open from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. during the party.
Profits from the tables will benefit Friends of Villa Park Library and the Villa Park Elementary School Restoration Corp. Anyone interested in volunteering or buying tickets to the event should call (714) 538-0367. The meeting will take place at City Hall, 17865 Santiago Blvd.
