The city recently purchased eight new vehicles that run on compressed natural gas fuel. The Police Department will use the three cars for patrol and the five trucks will be used by the Public Works Department.
The city purchased the vehicles with a $250,000 grant from the state Energy Commission, which also provided funding for the new fueling station on Beverly Manor Road.
