O’Meara, Duval, Stewart and Garcia in Skins Game
Mark O’Meara will defend his Skins Game title against David Duval, Payne Stewart and Sergio Garcia at the Landmark Golf Club over Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 27-28, organizers said Tuesday.
The 17th edition of the event will have $1 million in prize money. The foursome--all participants in last weekend’s Ryder Cup--will play for $300,000 on Saturday and $700,000 on Sunday.
Each of the first six holes will be worth $25,000. Each of the second six holes will be worth $50,000. Holes 13 through 17 will each be worth $70,000, and the 18th hole will be worth $200,000.
O’Meara, winner of last year’s Masters and British Open, claimed eight skins and a record $430,000 at the 1998 Skins Game.
