* The Museum of Fine Arts opens the exhibition “Pharaohs of the Sun: Akhenaten, Nefertiti, Tutankhamen” on Nov. 14. The show focuses on the Amarna Age (1353 to 1336 BC), when Egypt was at its imperial peak. Through Feb. 6. $6 to $17.50. (617) 267-9300.

* “Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?” opens at the Boston Children’s Museum on Oct. 29.
