Postponement Is No Joke
The snow jokes began as soon as CART announced in November that the Bosch Grand Prix would be held in April.
So the Nazareth Speedway staff decided to make light of it.
“Is it going to snow April 9?’ ” it asked in a news release last month.
On Sunday, that seemingly ridiculous suggestion became a reality, and the race was postponed until May 27.
CART President Andrew Craig said the decision not to run the race today was out of consideration for the fans and that teams needed to cross the country for Sunday’s Toyota Grand Prix at Long Beach.
* UP NEXT: Long Beach Grand Prix, Sunday, 1 p.m. TV: ESPN, 2 p.m. (delayed).
