Deadline Extended for Grand Jury

Ventura County Superior Court has extended the deadline for applications to the 2000 grand jury because of a low number of applicants this year, said Sheila Gonzalez, court executive officer and jury commissioner.
The court is seeking a jury pool that reflects the county’s demographic diversity.
The new deadline is May 5 to apply to serve during the fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30, 2001.
