LOS ANGELES — Metrolink is offering free four-day rail passes to many downtown workers and Democratic National Convention volunteers during the convention next week.
The promotion is designed to help ease parking and traffic downtown and to entice new riders to the commuter rail system.
The free passes will be offered to downtown workers and convention volunteers who have not commuted on the rail line in the last three months.
The rail line said convention volunteers can pick up their tickets at the convention volunteer center on the first floor of the 7th Street Marketplace at 7th and Figueroa streets. Downtown workers should ask their employers’ transportation coordinators or building management for ticket information.
Metrolink trains run to downtown from Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
