Police Need Help in Identifying Body

Share

Police asked for the public’s help in identifying a young woman whose badly decomposed body was found a week ago in a dirt lot near an automotive repair shop.

The woman, who had been shot, wore an ankle bracelet with a heart-shaped charm inscribed with the name “Judy,” said Sgt. Kristie Romero of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division. The victim was also wearing two gold-colored rings, one with a green stone and the other with a series of white stones.

Workers at the auto shop reported smelling a foul odor in the lot for several weeks before the body was found Aug. 18, Romero said.
