Stanford Guy Wonders Why His Letter Didn’t Run

With the college football season upon us, I pray that for once The Times will spare us the weekly drivel of the whining UCLA and USC alumni. I know I speak for a legion of sports fans who simply do not care which team’s article is on the left side or the right side of the page, which team’s article contains more words, or which team’s article contains the larger photograph.

There just has to be something more important to read than this never-ending stream of nonsense. And I’m pretty sure this is not just a Cal alumnus speaking.
