* Update--This series features baseball’s two most prolific home run-hitting teams--the Blue Jays, after hitting five home runs, three by Darrin Fletcher, in Sunday’s win over Texas, lead the major leagues with 214 homers, and the Angels are second with 199 homers. Toronto first baseman Carlos Delgado, who ranks second in the league in batting (.362), first in home runs (38) and third in runs batted in (117), is bidding to become baseball’s first Triple Crown winner since Boston’s Carl Yastrzemski in 1967. Blue Jay third baseman Tony Batista is batting .284 with 36 homers and 99 RBIs. Ortiz hopes to maintain the consistency he showed Wednesday night in Boston, when he gave up two earned runs on five hits in 7 1/3 innings.
