Four men were injured, one critically, in a Huntington Beach crash involving two suspected drunken drivers early Saturday.

The crash occurred about 2:15 a.m., police said, when Steve Huynh, 26, of Santa Ana, tried to turn left onto Glenwood Drive from Springdale Street. Huynh turned into the path of Thomas Fletcher, 24, of Westminster, police said. Fletcher’s 1990 Acura Integra hit the passenger side of Huynh’s 1998 Honda Accord.

Huynh and a passenger in his car, John Huynh, 33, also from Santa Ana, had to be cut from the wreckage. Steve Huynh was treated for pain, then booked into the Huntington Beach Jail for suspected felony drunken driving. John Huynh suffered cuts and a head injury and was taken to UCI Medical Center.

A fourth, unidentified male suffered serious head injuries. Police were unsure whether he was a passenger or pedestrian. He was listed in critical condition at UCI Medical Center, authorities said.

Police urged witnesses to the accident to call the department at (714) 536-5666.
