USC Student Badly Hurt in Fall From Dorm
An unidentified USC freshman suffered severe injuries Sunday morning when he fell out of a fourth-story window at a campus dormitory and landed on the concrete patio below, Los Angeles police detectives said.
Details were not immediately available about how the student fell out of a window at Marks Tower, an eight-story dorm, on campus about 7:35 a.m.
The student, described only as a male freshman, was taken to County-USC Medical Center, where officials said his condition was critical but stable.
Southwest Division detectives interviewed students at the dorm, but police refused to give details of their investigation.
